Known to many as "Kym Nonstop" via a popular Youtube channel with over 130,000 subscribers where she shares fitness tips, training vlogs, race videos with a focus on women's cycling, Kym is a firecracker. As a founding instructor of SoulCycle, she has been a sought-after professional in the fitness industry for over a decade. Now she has co-founded Dryft, a fierce strength and cardio workout done with low-impact water rowers promoting personal fitness sustainability. Kym is an avid promoter of holistic wellness, coaching athletes and clients worldwide to reach their goals through better mental health and fitness.

1. What was your biggest takeaway from Lumia coach training?

For me, it was observing how differently each one of my classmates processed the material. Beyond the seminars, the debriefing sessions we held were equally as fascinating.

2. How did you transform personally during the program?

The course helped me to become more centered and self aware. There were "aha" moments, similar to those I've had in therapy. I have become more able to process not only with others but with myself- a skill which is invaluable to me.

3.  How are you practicing coaching today?

The communication and listening methods I learned from the program are useful every day, all day. In addition to the coaching clients that I work with weekly via phone, I use coaching methods while managing the team at Dryft as well.

4. From a business perspective: What did you gain from completing the program?

The confidence to call myself a coach and greater management skills.

5. What would you say to someone who’s interested in taking Lumia's coach training program?

DO IT. I recommend being in attendance for the seminars as I found the interaction LIVE was much more impactful to me than reviewing the recording afterward. And meet with your classmates often! You will get so much out of it.

6. Anything else you’d like to mention about yourself or the program?

Coaching skills are like a second language. You can become very fluent while practicing but rusty when not. I appreciate that Lumia allows you to review and attend more seminars as needed to help you succeed in your practice.
